More Neolithic Sites: Minchinhampton to Avening to Nailsworth

This walk starts out in Minchinhampton and then descends into the valley toward Avening. Along the way are a few Neolithic sites of interest.

Neolithic Peaks and LongBarrows: Cam to Cotswold Way

This walk started by taking a bus to Cam. From there we walked through the village and ascended Cam peak and then Cam Long Down. There, we joined the Cotswold way northwards.

Cottages and Valleys: Bisley to Stroud via the Toadsmoor Valley

This walk starts in the town of Bisley – a pretty Cotswold stone village – and descends from there into the Toadsmoor Valley. We then ascended into Lypiatt and finally down to the Canal again and back home.

This walk is approximately 10 km. We got dropped off at Bisley and walked back to Stroud. The route is below:

Canal and Common: Brimscombe, Minch Common and Amberley

This is a walk from Stroud, down the canal to Brimscombe, a steep ascent to Minchinhampton Common, across the Common and down into Amberley.

The walk along the canal is a pleasant walk on any day.

We ascended to grassy Minchinhampton Common.

and then descended to the village of Amberley. From there, we caught a bus home.

Spooky Woodchester Mansion: Woodchester Park walks

There are two walks we have done in Woodchester Park:

1) Start at Inchbrook. Walk through Woodchester Park to the Mansion and then return.
2) Start at Inchbrook. Walk through Woodchester Park and then continue to intersect the Cotswold Way. Take this Norh up to Selsley common, walk down to Selsley and then return from there.
